All-
As I do not have a disaster or a pressing matter currently, I am afraid of one and wanted some opinions.
30g oceanic cube with the rear wall drilled in multiple places (2 drains in overflow box and 3 returns)
One of the "returns" (it is now an inlet to a closed loop) is located about 4 inches from the bottom of the tank, in the center of the back pain of glass. Yes, this is located behind the rock stack. The intention was to induce flow behind the rocks and eliminate 'dead spots.'
All bulkheads are threaded; I thought it was a good idea so that I could fix a problem in the future. And, I have used the same bulkhead in my salt mix tank. I recently had one of the bulkheads fail in my salt mix tank. It does see more abuse and use than the display tank (to open a ball valve to dispense water into a bucket).
This failure got me thinking about a failure in my tank and how I would go about fixing the problem, and it has come to my attention that I have a BIG problem if the lower bulkhead in my tank fails.
ANY IDEAS!
