Bulkhead Question

I am setting up my first sumped tank. It's a RR 75 rimless, and there were no instructions. It's pretty self-explanatory except for one thing. I've seen people use some type of lubricant for the rubber washers. Do I need to buy some gel stuff to keep it watertight?

No, just remember the gasket goes on the flange side, not the nut side and to not over tighten, once snug, no more than a quarter turn on the nut and you should have no leaks. If a small drip is noticed, another quarter turn on the nut. No goop is required and more often than not, it can cause a leak.
