I have 1" bulkheads and strainers like this.

Do they make any 'shorter' versions or any that are elbow shaped? (The one I have is like 2 â€"œ2 1/2" long)

Yea, I've got one like that for my Closed Loop, but it is back under all the rock and you can't see it. I was unable to find a smaller one when I was looking, but then that does not mean there not out ther:0

I have seen some that are note cone shaped liked that, but rather dome shaped.... I don't recall ever actually finding them for sale, just saw them in someone's tank on the forums. I have seen this though:

Not quite sure how it connects.

Ooooooo.....Nice!
Thanks!!!

On second thought....I'm not sure that will fit. It may be too small.
I may have to order it and see.....urgh...this is where it gets expensive.

yeah, I know what you mean! I've bought plenty that I've either decided not to use, or didn't fit!

You might check in the DIY section and see if anyone has any other suggestions.

Personally I got street ells from Glass-Holes when I ordered my other stuff and just superglued some Gutter Guard onto them. :)

Looks like this:

Cheap, easy, and low profile.

Not bad!!!
Thanks!

Cut it to the length you want and super glue it back on. I read it somewhere in one of the threads but can’t remember where.

Thanks Wayne.....but somehow, I ended up with a roll of that.

Also.....last night, I snipped off about half of that strainer and I believe it's the perfect size now. (I'll cover the end with the gutter guard).
