Here is my dilemma;one of the bulkhead(bottom)(main pipe) is leaking, how can I fix this issue? The tank is full with sand & rocks any glue/sealers that could be use around the bulkhead to seal the leak?:mad2:
Thanks
AJ

If it is in an overflow you may be able to drain the water out of the overflow and pull the bulkhead out and silixon both sides of the rubber seal and reinstall it. I am going to try that myself to make changes to my drain pipe.

at walmart thiers a two ton
two part sealent that i used on my skimmer its thier for good though.

its 1.97 and its near the super glue.

i would see if any local reefers have any water changing garbage can to borrow if you have to drop the water level in the tank

a ghetto/lazy way to do it, depending on the pressure that hte water is coming out, if it has a good amount of trickle you may have to do what TTrex said, but if its a slow drip, i would dry the area quickly and then put duck tape around it and then cake on the silicone afterwards and that should stop it... never tried it but just some food for thought.

Think of the problem like a bulging seal on a tank, get yourself some aquarium sealant and put it right around the inside and outside edge of the bulkhead from the inside. Now your watertight, if you have to remove it later you'll just need a razor blade to cut it.

I just installed a flat gasket an resolve the issue.
Thanks for all the ideas.
AJ
