Busy Day

I just did a large (80-90%) water change on the 29g reef. Some of the corals are coming back, but most of them are still bleached with algae starting to grow on them.

On a positive note, it looks like a staghorn, pocillopora, porites, a couple montiporas and a couple acros might be back to stay. It is still too soon to tell though. All of these corals came from rs2208's tank and I am trying to nurse them back to life/health.

I added a nice-sized bag of carbon and cleaned the skimmer. I love the look of the Hamilton 10K 175w bulb! Thanks, Josh!

I am about to start up a 29 in Sharon's basement, I think the 250 watt HQI with the ROIII should light it nicely.

Nah, that is too much light...bring it over here and I will test it for you to make sure it is safe.

Jack, a former member here (Therman) used to have a 400 watt Iwasaki and four 3' VHO actinics over a 40 gallon breeder tank. His corals were incredible. Unfortunately, when he took a new job and moved, he got out of the hobby

Not at all, actually. I copied the same lighting on my old 58g SPS tank...the growth was incredible.
