But can you TRUST it?

Can anyone suggest a good source for a NIST traceable thermometer?

FLW does all of our NIST traceable calibrations...We buy alot of calibrated instrumentation from them as well.

I asked Curt at Neptune about calibrating the Aquacontroller by setting it at 32 degrees. He said it was a very bad idea. Not sure why.

As several of you had suggested, I used a two-point test to calibrate the new hannah unit, then used it to calibrate the others that we're using. Those that were off by more than a couple of degrees that cannot be adjusted, I'm going to use for something else like refrigerator or back porch ;)

As for the other types of measurements (besides temp), I'm not real sure how to approach yet. I would love to calibrate some of my water parameter tests against lab-grade devices or tests. Has anyone else ever attempted to calibrate say, PO4, Alk, or Ca?

I know hannah makes a PO4 meter that is supposed to be highly accurate. Hmmm, the whole topic has me wondering now....
