Butauni from Old Yeller Tang

Roland Balmes (Old Yeller Tang) Butauni

This coral has not grown much at all over the last six months. Any suggested placement/flow for this coral?

Why dont you ask roland your self? He does wonder on this board often. If i recall he had it med low in the tank and med flow but then again he did have a green thumb. I think he has a sore thumb now, lol.

I have one pretty much the same its a slow grower, But is colorful.
I have it medium with lots of flow, But i do run 400w 10k's.

I had mine on near the bottom of the tank with medium flow and it grew fast once it settled in. One of my favorites!

OYT......How long did it take your colony to reach that size? I recently moved mine to the lower part of the tank. What lighting was that colony under?

I always used 10k's and it was under 400wts and it did nothing for about 2 months and then took off like crazy. It reached that size in about 6mos.
