Butterfly?

Is there a species if butterfly fish that will do well in the aquarium. I have seen some while snorkeling and ocassionally at the LFS but I am not a fan of buying fish I know nothing about. They tend to be beautiful but if I have one I want it to do well.

Good of you to ask. They seem to be split. Some will die as they are specialized eaters, some are very hardy. Is this going to be for a reef tank, or fish only tank?

Looks like it's not a good choice for a reef tank. Have to wait until I build a fish only.

There are a few that would be okay.

Pyramid, declivis, burgessi, kleini, mitratus, utilensis/falcula, miliaris... still might pick but might be okay.

I feel like Pyramids are some of the best.
