Button Polyps Wont' Open, Any Ideas?

I have a nice little bunch of green button polyps that won't open. Everything else in the tank is doing great. I even have another bunch of brown buttons that are open and spreading like wildfire. The green ones stay closed all day, so I know it's not that their getting food and closing. They appear to have a bit of slime with little white spots on the them. They are so small I can't tell if their parasites or even if they are moving.

Has anyone ever experienced this and/or have any ideas?

IME, closed up means means something is bothering them, whether if they are up too close next to a anenome, fish nipping at their tips, chemical warfare, etc.

I would try to relocate them to another spot an maybe use a turkey baster to blast off the slime. See if you can try to pinpoint exactly what the white dots are - could be the cause/culprit.
