Yup I've had that fear. Even worse this pane is tempered. But its slight scratch 2 feet long which doesn't catch my nail. I looked into having it buffer or otherwise and no one wanted to touch it.
In any case since I laid out $600 for the pane I went ahead and used it. The tank has been up and running for 3 weeks now so I think I'm good.
But when I was filling it I staid way back from the wall in case it went.
Still mad that i don't have starfire on the front after spending the money.
