I know the place that many people buy there octo is fish supply. Do they gurantee that the octo will arrive alive? I really want to get one, but dont want to spend the money and then have him arrive dead. Or die right after i get him. I know they are hard to keep, but if someone can give me some advice that would help greatly.

Hi:

I purchased my Bimac from Jack at fishsuppy and he arrived in great condition.:D I believe that Fishsupply does offer an arrive alive garuantee. Plus Bimacs are not that expensie. I believe Fishsupply charges $29.00 for a small one (which is definitely what you want as it will live longer). With shipping it will only cost aroun $60.00. This is not much considering the cost of the setup to keep one and the price of other saltwater fish. I hope this helps.

Good Luck!

I'm pretty sure that fishsupply.com's 5 day warantee doesn't count on octos. I would still recommend that you order from them. Myself, lawfish, and Carol from tonmo.com have all gotten baby bimacs from fishsupply in the past week. All three of them arrived in great condition and are still doing well. Cephalapoder has ordered around 10 octos from fishsupply and I believe every single one arrived in good condition. Very few places will give a waranty on octos and very few lfs's will give any waranty on any SW creatures. I'm 100% sure fishsupply is the best place to order one from. Call and ask for Jack and let him you have talked to his other customers and tell him you want a healthy, active, small bimaculoides and he will hook you up. If they don't have any at that time, he'll get your name and # and call you the minute they come in. Good luck, John
