Quick question....

Is it okay to quarantine these guys in a bare bottom tank with nothing but PVC? I don't want to stress him out any worse than he already is.

if you're not using any medication in the quarantine tank, you could put a small container with sand in it. if you don't need the sand anymore, it's easy to take out.

As Pyithar noted a small tupperware container of sand in QT is what's generally recommended for sand requiring species. You can either rinse it and dry it in the sun to reuse at a later date or just ditch it when you are done.

What's the best kind of sand to get? I'm assuming not live sand?
