Byrdman's 20L

Firefish died in QT today not really sure why. Hasnt been looking too hot over the past few weeks in the 75. I have 9 SPS frags arriving tomorrow will post some new pics when everything has settled in.

Well although they are not the best here are a few shots of the SPS frags i got.

I actually have two more acros but I dont think either of them are going to make it. They didnt really look good after I placed the in the tank. I also have a blue milli that i forgot to take a pic of.

Re: Byrdman's 20L

Fish are in the dt tank. Pics to come tomorrow. Blenny may be hard ro get cause he found him a hangout in the back of the tank under a rock. Lol

Well I finally got around to taking shots of the fish with my iphone. I also got a bergia nudibranch today to help with my small aiptasia problem that i never knew i had in my 75. Thats pretty sad i never saw them in there but i see about 10-20 in my 20L now. Anyway on to the pics.

Clowns:

These too hang out together and sleep together almost all the time. Hopefully one day they will start mating even though i dont plan on raising any fry.
Yellow Blenny:

This guy is the coolest fish i have had. He swims all day and has two spots in the LR he likes to hang out or sleep in. I got a pic of him in one of them.

I bougt coral today from mr coral hopefully it ships tomorrow and I will recieve it Thursday. Bought couple sps four ricordea and couple different palys. Was going with the all SPS theme but I can't let the sides of the tank where the bulbs don't reach be empty.

What did you use for the netting frame? I need to do this for my tank. I've got a glass lid that works to keep my blenny in there, but it doesn't allow enough heat to get away. It's fine now but if the house gets much over 75 it'll get pretty darn hot in there.

I am taking down a 125 and going with a 33L. Going to do the minimal equipment and rely on weekly W/C's. Sold the Tangs already and keeping the small fish. I was planning on 15% a week for W/C's and only doing softies and LPS. I will have a skimmer a Tunze 9002 and think I'm going with 2 K-1's for flow. So are you doing that 30-50% W/C weekly? Makes me feel like I should do more then 15%. I'm going to try that cheap Marineland LED fixture which I already bought, hopefully it will be alright since the tank is only 12" high. I will be following your progress.

Tbar - I am getting by with weekly 1G watter changes on my 20G long. I also sent you a PM about the LED lights.

I am changing out a gallon a day or if i forget I do 2 gallons the next day. So roughly 6-7 gallons a week and i would think and this is guessing thats theres only around 17-18 gallons of water counting displacement from sand and rock. Everything seems to growing nicely. The frags that i got in the pics are starting to encrust over the plugs and i see good growth on my birdsnest. The netting i used was 1/4 clear netting i bought from a reefer on another site. The screen is brown window screen frame painted black with krylon fusion. I took a dremel and cut out the back side just enough for my cords for my heater and ph to come up. If you are using a skimmer on your system then the 10-15% should be fine.

Well better late than never on the pics. Everything i got is doing fine except my SPS frags. I emailed MR coral about them and he had to me to wait and see if they color up because they are brown and have been since i pulled them out of the bag but still no change. Any way on to the pics:

Couple more shots of bonsai and slimer. Bonsai has started to really encrust the plug and my slimer seems to like his new location alot better than before.
