c- balance or b - ionic

howdy all,
what 2 part do you guys like better? b-ionic or c-balance?

I use Randy's homeade 2-part nowadays. Works the same as the above mentioned but costs me about 20 bucks a year instead.

people still buy 2 part? LOL when i first started using a 2 part i used b-ionic. it works awesome. but on my 75g it started getting expensive so i made my own using Randys Recipe. the hardest part of making your own is finding the stuff to make it. but now thats not even hard to do with www.twopartsolution.com . it works as good as any store bought 2 part as well. but if you must buy a 2 part, both C-balance and b-ionic are excellent choices.

I just made some for the first time yesterday and now im kicking myself for using the premixed junk for such a long time

Fortunately we discovered this website and Randy's DIY supplement while we were still on our first bottles of B-Ionic. The tank's thriving and our total supplementation (Ca, Alk, Mg) is about a dime a day. I have to mix Ca and Alk about every other month. Mg should last about 14-18 months.

What I don't understand is why local LFS's don't pre-mix and sell it for enough to profit, but still less than commercial products. There's a lot of room for profit margin. Seems like a win-win to me.
