Ca and AC jr

Got a couple quick questions.

I have and AC Jr and a Ca reactor as well as a Kalk reactor. The Kalk it hooked up to a top-off system and I use the AC Jr to stir it about every 12 hours for about 4 minutes.

Anyways, I have the Ca reactor hooked into the AC Jr and the pH is monitored from the tank. I used to the pH monitor on the Ca reactor but my tank is not stock enough and I am getting too much Ca in the tank.

Currenlty I have this script.

If pH > 8.35 then CO2 on
If pH < 8.2 then then CO2 off

it is the default setting, does it sound right for me?

Another question I had is that I bought my AC JR about 5 months ago, how can I tell if it has a serial connection to use with the neptune software?

Thanks

Usually the bubble rate, and drip rate of the Ca reactor is adjusted so that the desired amount of effluent is output to keep the Alkalinity. The controller is used to shut down the CO2 to the Ca reactor in case the pH goes too low.
If your Jr. has a serial port, then there is a Minidin 8 connector just to the left of the temperature probe connector.
