So, first 2 months, tank cycles. Afterwhich I added 2 clowns, 2 cardinals, 1 YWG, 2 baby chromis, 1 scooter blenny. Corals were 2 types of shrooms, 2 types of zoas. I left for a month and came back not thinking the tank would need that much but a little food.
Params (redsea testkits):
Alk: 10.2
Mg: 1320
Ca: 340 (before morning dose)
Temp: 77.8
Ph: 8.0
NO3: undetectable
PO4: undetectable
So I'm adding about 25ml of Ca a day since I added a single torche coral. I find it's a lot of Ca to add to a tank a day. I get it back to about 400 with the 25ml dose (would like 420). Anyhow, I find no signs of precipitate anywhere (black sand). Could I have another problem?
Thanks,
-Rog
