Cable for AI control

Hi,

How long is the cable for controlling AI LED light module. Considering hanging the light and need to know how to route the cable depending on its length.

Will the Pro II controller I just ordered ship with the latest firmware installed? I read on the forums here that AI is coming out with a new cable for the Profilux controller to control their new model/version LED modules that will require the latest firmware version to operate - do the pro II's and pro 3's use the same firmware versions?
