Calc Reactor medium change ??

I've been running my calc reactor for 2 years using ARM medium. When the material gets down about 1/3 in both chambers, I just top it off .. Should I be removing the old stuff and adding all new at some point ??

Once in a while I'd probably remove it completely, as some of it is going to be completely insoluble stuff, and over along time that may build up. But that need not be done very frequently, IMO.
