calcium 600, magnesium 1400

my calcium reading is 600 and magnesium is 1400. MY pinpoint ph controller reads 6.55 (the probe is inside Aquamedic calcium reactor. Is it ok or calcium and magnesium has to be dropped and how?

What salt mix are you using? Some, like Oceanic, are the source of such high values.

I would shut the reactor down until calcium drops to acceptable levels. Magnesium levels are fine.

What is the tank alkalinity?

That's what I 'd use to judge if the reactor is set properly.

alkanility is at 7

if your alk is at 7 dKh, I would leave your reactor on. Like Randy suggested, it might be your salt mix coralife salt is aslo high in Ca. A few water changes with a salt with less Ca might be the best option in lowering it.

If your tank water is clear, I do not necessarily think calcium and magnesium levels that high are a problem.

As Randy stated, just keep an eye on your alkalinity level. Especially when using salts like Oceanic and Coralife.
