Calcium/Alkalinity Supplementing in NANO's

Have a 4 month old 29, that is doing very well, and as of now, i have not dosed any Calcium/alkalinity, supplements. I also use Reef Grade Agronite, as substrate.

Having continued my never ending search for knowledge, in the salt water game, Are Secondary Supplements NECESSAIRY?

I do keep some LPS, and Softies, and have started to notice a Coraline increase on the back of the Tank, within the past few weeks

I do weekly 5gallon Water Changes Religiously*
Knowing that WC's replace Calcium,


***Do you think I would be better off/better for my system, to supplement?***

***If So, What Calcium and Alkalinity Product Do you Reccomend???***

First test the parameters u r thinking of correcting.

If it aint broke dont fix it.

I have a 29g sps reef,& the only thing i dose is an alkalinity buffer.

how high are the demands for calcium, in a lps tank?

its so strange...
I keep my DkH at about 11-12
and my calcium at 425 ppm

zero coraline on my back wall

Takes more then just balanced Ca and Alk to grow coralline. Also takes Magnesium and Strontium. Not only that but there are high light loving coralline and low light loving coralline, you might only have the low light and you have high lighting and or the opposite. Also coralline hate po4 so watch that as well.
