Calcium and Alk?

What is everyone doing to keep Calcium and Alk levels inline in there azoo tanks? 2 part? Just water changes? Reactor?
My next step in planning.
Thanks

For calcium and Alk, I dont add anything. I do 50% water changes twice a week, occasionally only once if I am too busy at work and have had no issues with calcium or alk demand.

I just rely on water changes. I don't find CA and Alk consumption to be an issue with these corals. I tested in the beginning but don't worry about it anymore.

same finds I had, was just wondering if any new finds in that area have taken place since last year.
SO no need for me t osave space under the stand for 2 part :)

+1 to water changes... we do enough that it better keep up the Alk/Ca demand!

I've moved into a bigger tank, so will be doing less water changes, but even then I don't think there's a high enough demand to necessitate supplementation. if there is I'll just dose 2-part by hand on occasion.

50% water change twice a week? Wow! I would think that would stress out your fish...

Actually, it doesnt. I do a slow, long, 50% water change using an air line hose. Something to keep into consideration when doing water changes with non-photosynthic corals is food in the water column. When I do a water change, I actually add additional food when I do so. Part of the reason why is with absence of food in the water column you will notice that most gorgonians will stay closed for a period of time. It helps prevent that.

Can you post a FTS of your tank please?

Moses- I am transfering corals right now from my old tank to my new, but if you go onto my homepage you can see my new Azoo tank build.
