Calcium choice for 3 part dosing

I took advise from Randy several years ago and got food grade chemicals for making a 3 part cal/alk/mag dose for the reef. The calcium that Im using is straight calcium chloride, in granular form, which I mix with RO. My Alkalinity mix is sodium carbonate(soda ash) similarly mixed , and magnesium is a mix of magnesium chloride and sulfate. Is anyone using a similar mix ? Im looking for something to compare long term results to, and compare with someone that may have done this for a while and then gone back to a readymade mix like B-Ionic or similar.....Any input would be great. Thanks.

Lots of people are using the various DIY 2-parts. I used B-Ionic for years, and then switched. I didn't see any difference in the tank.

I started off dosing C Balance, and switched to B-Ionic. Both were good supplements, although the ESV product was more concentrated, so I used less. Ultimately I went to the BRS chem's, I saw no difference in my system, and never went back to the commercial products. I also did a cost comparison between those products, and the savings are significant.
