calcium dispenser

I don't understand, do you have one that is not working or are you asking if it works with a particular product? It will not work with the Nano Osmolator because the pump is running at a much slower speed and for a much shorter time.

the pump would not flow through the hoses or the calcium dispenser unit, pump would make noise but no flow to the aquarium.

If the head height was high, more than about 5ft, it may be the pump speed needs to be increased in the controller as the bottle and check valve adds some increased backpressure (assuming this is an osmolator made after Jan 2012). Make sure the check valve is not in backwards. It is also possible the pump may have been airlocked or may be defective so it was not strong enough to fight the added pressure.

Osmolators before 2012 always gave the pump maximum power, only since production starting Nov 2011 was a potentiometer added to control pump speed. My best guess is something was plugged or the checkvalve was in wrong. The pump may have also been somewhat worn.
