Calcium for Zoos?

OK, I'm waiting to see if my tank parameters are stable before buying my first coral. I'ts been setup (relocated established tank) for a week, and I plan to give it another week or 2 to see if everything stays stable.

Now, I'm guessing I'm going to start with zoanthid's. Do these need (like to have) calcium added? Should I start adding this to the tank ahead of time?

As always, many thanks...

I wouldnt add any supplements until your tests calcium etc tell you you need to. Usually the only time you will need to add supplements is when you have alot of demanding corals like SPS and clams.
I have a huge variety in my mixed reef including a few are, mostly LPS, softies, and a clam.
I never have to dose. Water changes should be enough until your coral load demands more.

Zoos live off of the light, so as long as you have plenty of that you will be fine.

I agree with Blown that you should test and see what you need. Zoo's will not deplete your levels...
