Calcium / KH

My calcium reads 500-520 mg/L ppm . My KH reads 6-7 dKH or 107.4-125.3 ppm . I tested with API test kit. My dKH is low and my calcium is high. This is a direct correlation. Should I add more buffer? What kind do you recommend?

how long has the tank been going? what kind of buffer have you been using? can you take a water sample somewhere to confirm the readings? API test are not the most reliable.

I am going to take a sample somewhere else... as well as take a sample of the saltwater mix that I change with... This might have something to do with it.

I think I am going to start the two part mix... Everyone is talking about it. Highly recommended.

Lately I have been using the SeaChem Marine Buffer.

2 part is the way i check the calc and alk in check. i would take those samples somewhere just so you know its not your test kits. then go from there. its usually odd that the calc is way high and the alk is low, but it is possible.
