The ideal pump it seems is a heavy duty cole parmer peristaltic pump. They are pricey but work well and can be found used on auction websites like eBay.
It looks like it. You may want to put valve between pump and reactor in case of the pump is too strong.
I'm using MJ1200 as a feeding pump to ca reactor.
Putting an adjustable valve to decrease and adjust the flow in case if the pump is too strong, is a smart idea.
Melvesreef has a great description on his site on calcium reactors. I believe he is using an MJ 1200 with a valve as well.
