Calcium reactor & kalk drip?

I understand there a numerous benefits from dripping kalk other than calcium supplementation. Is it worth while to continue using kalk for top off water daily while the reactor is working?

I am no expert but I believe that kalk will help keep your pH up, because it is reduced by the calcium reactor.
