Calcium and Alkalinity dosing

Back in the day I used a calcium reactor and topped off with kalk at night using my kalk reactor. This worked pretty well for me so I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, but we’ve had new equipment introduced to the hobby. I have an Apex pro and was thinking about getting a Trident and a DOS to dose Calcium and Alk. My water volume is 160g and this will mostly be an SPS tank. I’m doing auto daily water changes of 1-1/2 gallons right now and manually dosing a two part. So, should I stick with what I know or dive in to the new tech?

I remember that from back in the day! Wasn’t your tank a TOTM at one point?

I’m currently dosing All For Reef but have been strongly considering switching to a calcium reactor when funds permit. You may need a CARX later but if you end up needing to dose other stuff the dos would be nice (such as nitrates, phosphate, etc)

I’m dosing BRS supplements and dripping kalk. I’ve got an underpowered Ca Reactor for the upgrade. Plan on using that and supplementing with additives as/if needed.

I tend to go old school with 90s/early 2000s tech & techniques.
