Calcium Reactor Question

Looking at the Korallin units because of the small footprint. Looked at the GEO's but the footprint was too big but the price was great! However, I only have limited space.

Any suggestions? Should I stick with the above mentioned.

Also, trying to figure out the differences on dosing Kalkwasser. The more I've read about Kalkwasser and calcium reactors, the less I understand.

I had the korallin, drove me crazy trying to keep it adjusted. If you could go Geo I would do that.

Just call Pat and have him modify your stand :D

Kalkwasser stablelizes the alkalenity which keeps helps keep the ph stable.

Calcium reactor places calcium into the tank.

The GEO footprints might not work unless as you said, I could have pat make the stand like a double decker bus

Kalk adds a balanced dose of calcium and alkalinity but is usually not enough by itself for a decent load of stonies. The reactor can add calcium, alkalinity and with the right media magnesium to the tank. The reactor is the workhorse and some drip kalk to keep the ph up. The single best investment I ever made was the calcium reactor. Once dialed in it is pretty easy to deal with.

Thanks Jack. What do you think about the my reef creations? Have you owned others? Everyone says the GEO are very plug and play but as I stated, the footprint won't work.

That is the one I have...it is keeping up with the demands of my 125. I have modified it slightly though. :D

Don't go buying anything yet. Geo may have a footprint that would fit your needs. What size do you need?
