calcium reactor settings

hi all.

just need to ake how to properly set up my cal reactor wot the eeulent flow should b and what the kh must b coming out and the ca coming out of reactor. how many co2 bubbles etc

The setup will depend on the demands of your tank.


To start, get your calcium and alkalinity to where you would like to keep them. Have the effluent at a fast drip; not a constant stream, but a fast drip.

Start off slowly with the CO2; about 10 bubbles per minute. Let the reactor run for about two days, then recheck your Ca and Alk. If you need to re-adjust them, do so. Each day, increase your bubble count by one or two bubbles per minute until the Ca and alk levels remain consistant. If you overshoot, you will need to start all over so go slow.
