Calcium reactors vs dosing

I went with the Aquamedic regulator and separate solenoid. I didn't want the cord from the solenoid hanging down, out in the open so I opted for the separate unit and mounted it out of the way to hide the cord. The solenoid is pretty loud when it opens though. Just a single loud click. not sure if this is normal as this is the only one I've ever used. Also, the gauge housing on the regulator rusted pretty quickly being under the tank. Other than those two issues they have been great and haven't had any performance issues at all.

A buddy contacted me last night and has a Precision Marine CR622 Calcium Reactor that he wants to sell. Is this a good one? The geo 612 I bought is a little under sized for my tank. At least I think. The Geo is rated to 300g and the Precision cr622 is rated to 500g

its black friday so i thought i would finally pick up a co2 regulator and man am I torn on what to do lol

Aquarium Plants Carbon doser. Really it is an very well designed electronic bubble counter (fail safe design) that plugs into your pH monitor/control that basically shuts down the bubble counter according to pH. Spend the extra $$ on this VERY important piece of equip.

again, my two pennies worth!! :)

You and roger both mention it but I can't seem to find it

A little late but I have ran reactors in the past by geo and Shuran. They work for sure but our house is closed up tight nearly all year and adding even more co2 was unhealthy for us and the tank. My tanks have been at their best since I started dosing. Growth and coloration. This tank is a brand new start in August so it looks like crap still or I would show you.
A friend of mine has the most intense and rich color corals I have ever seen with a 3 part dosing schedule. I think it is more ability than equipment.

Congrates on the new tank
