But you have to understand that testing regularly for Calcium and for Alkalinity, among other things like nitrates, will help you succeed with your reef. So rather than use a calcium brick, learn the numbers you want and then to maintain them, get a good calcium additive and a good alkalinity maintenance additive and use this to apply them to keep the numbers right:
It's a bit more complicated that just adding a brick, but it's also mych more likely to lead to a healthy reef like you'd like and after a while, it'll be like second nature to you. Of course, we're here to help you as you get used to this.
