Calerpa cysts or spore longevity

Basically I had a tank a few years ago that had a major caulerpa problem. The rock has been dry for about two years, and I was wondering if its possible that spores or cysts or anything of that nature might still be viable within the rock. I just want to make sure I don't reintroduce those extremelly annoying things into my current tank.

I do not know about dry. But i had rocks in a bucket of saltwater in the dark with a small pump for around a year and as soon as those rocks hit the light the algae started growing out of them again... If they are dead rocks just bleach them. Throw them in bleach/water mix over night; this will dissolve anything else in there that will pollute the tank. Make sure you rinse well and use a dechlorinator.
