cali or ora tort?

which one has the green polyps? I can't remember which one I have, I think it is the cali though.

the ORA is blue with green polyps or at least mine is.

I think they are the same as well (ORA/Cal Tort).

bennet - cali- ora... same... can be purple... can be blue... can have shades of green within...all depends on the conditions

obt... different... slower growth and different blue (and i've never seen any green in my obt)

Yep, My ORA Tort is dark purple/blue with green at the base of the branches.

FWIW from what I have read (and I believe I am remembering correctly) ORA has had several different torts that they have sold over the years. It can be a Cali and an ORA or just a Cali if that makes sense.

I got this tort a couple month ago from a friend for $30 now it's really show it's color but I have no idea what kind it is

obt i thought it meant ora blue tort. i have two frags in the same tank and they look very different. one is purple with green polyps and one is blue with brown polyps which are turing green. my experience has been that the bluer the light the more green comes out of the tort

and i agree... it seems there have been different torts mixed in in the ORA stock over the years

i have had "cali" and "bennet" and "ora" over the years and i could get them to all look the same and very blue in my system over the years. the oregon blue doesnt stray from true as easily and the blue is just different (i use to deny that until i acquired one... pics dont show the difference well)

regardless, they are all nice.

i know nothing about the becker tort... i dont have it nor have seen it in person

Cali and ORA are pretty much the same thing. Oregon tort is completly different.
