I am about to rip down my tank, the calpura battle is too much. Anyone know of a good reliable eater? Thanks!

Is the Caulerpa on all your rocks? Do you have a refugium? If you can take the rocks with the Caulerpa out. You can dry them out and clean them or replace them with new live rock or dry rock.

Sell the rock with caulerpa for refugiums!

Yeah, I probably could, just VERY frustrating and time consuming!! Might have to though. It is ALL through the rock.

I've had good luck with haloween hermits eating it but that was C. verticulata I don't know how they would go after taxifolia or frolifera.

J.Spring's Algae lists removal by hand and herbivores as the best control methods. Recommended herbivores are Surgeonfish, Angelfish, & Diadema Urchin (black longspine)

I have been battling caulerpa for a year now. It literally covered all my rocks. I got rid of most of it but still have to remove by hand weekly. The best luck I have had is taking the rock out and scrubbing the crap out of it with a nylon scrubbing brush. I also cut the lights back. I've tried every animal but nothing seemed to work. You may want to try shutting off all your lighting for 48 hours. That may kill it off.
