My cabbage leather has been out everyday with feeder tentacles and has grown at least 3x the size of when i got it 2 months ago. Just got home a few minutes ago and peeked in and it has all its tentacles retracted which of course happens, but there is a shiny surface on it. May be completely normal, looks healthy but just something new i ahvent seen before. any ideas guys?

Leathers do that from time to time. Looks like they are loosing their skin. It is normal nothing to worry about.

I wouldnt be too worried about it maybe check your ph and salinity.

It is a self cleaning mechanism, if it stays that way more than 2 weeks I would worry.

Normal, but if it sheds be sure to get the shedded material out of the tank via siphon or turkey baster.
