Camel shrimp immune to xenia.

I got my first coral 2 days ago, a pulsing xenia, and found out my 2 camel shrimps are immune to it's toxicity. The camels pulls and eats the xenia's little "fingers".

The cleaner shrimps are quite affraid of the xenia. As soon as their antennas touches the coral they back off .

I need to set up my second tank soon!

Camel shrimp are known to eat all types of corals.

They love eating polyps of different types especially... They are NOT reef friendly...

Agreed, I'd not get a camel for a reef tank. If you like the look get a peppermint instead.

I don't think xenia is particularly toxic in any event.

I'm setting up a shrimp dedicated system so the camels will go in the shrimps only with live rock tank.
