Camera Recommendations - Existing filters

Thinking about getting another camera. Used to have a Sony F717 that I really enjoyed, until it got caught out in a thunderstorm a number of years back...
Anyway, I'm pretty much open for recommendations. Not a whole lot of knowledge when it comes to cameras, especially DSLR's.
One of the things I liked about my Sony was that it was fairly simple to figure it out. That said, with the experience I have from using that camera, I think I should be able to figure most brands out.
I do have a few filters I had purchased for the F717 that I'd like to be able to not have to replace/throw out. I'd have to dig around to see where the filters have managed worked their way to over the years, but I believe they were 58mm.
So, if anyone has an idea of a DSLR that uses the same size filters as a 717, I'd love to hear. Ideally something above average or better, but not necessarily end-all-to-be-all. It'll also get used on our boat (which, is where my 717 met its demise).

When you mentioned filters, what kind of filter are we talking here? The only filters I am aware of are the ones that go on lenses specifically. With that said, you could theoretically get any camera, but then you would be selective of the lens you purchased in order to match your current filter.

IMHO, doing what I just said above is a waste of time. You get a lens for its merits, not because of what filter may fit it. Sell the filters and put the money towards a new camera and buy filters later for your lenses if needed.

Yes, the filters go on the end of the lens. Mostly for outdoor, and like I said I'm not sure exactly which ones they are. I know one is a polarized filter, the other(s) I'm not of.
And, just so we are clear, in case I wasn't in the original post, I won't be basing my camera purchase on a couple of filters. But, if there's two comparable brands ,and one of those brands (or the lens that comes standard with that brand) will accept the filters I currently own, so much the better. It'll make the pill a little easier for my wife to swallow. And I can put the money I would've spent on replacing those filters towards a better macro lens.

it's all about the lens. a 58mm filter will fit any lens that is 58mm, but you can get cheap step up or step down rings.

If you like Sony Cameras, the a7ii is fantastic. I got ridiculous quality from it, and you can use almost any lens with the right adapter. I have an a7Rii and it is insane. Just comes down to budget.
