Ok tired of focusing on that old thread got a new one. been shopping around for a good digital camera like discdogge says in his blog “my-little-ocean” Christmas is coming a little early and I’m shopping around for a good little digital camera that I could use to take some decent pics with something around the 150 price rang
(I know I’m breaking the bank right :p ).you know just something that can use to take some nice pics of my up and coming reef with

My question to every one is what type of cam do you use and is it all at you wanted and more

$150?? Let me know if it works out. I was thinking I was going to have to save up at least $300.00 to by mine. I am definately no camera expert though.

Me either that’s why I’m asking man 300 you talking about inter changeable lenses light temp gages oh wait a min I think that’s the 1000 rang

Ive have been thinking about the A620. My old kodak dx3600 just dosent cut it when it comes to fish tank pics. Althoug it is 5 years old and still works.

I SAW A CANNON AT WOLF (RITZ) CAMERA UNDER THE POWERSHOT LINE THAT HAD A MANUAL FOCUS OPTION (VERY IMPORTANT FOR PICS THROUGH GLASS AND WATER SURFACES) FOR $399. I DOUBT YOU'LL FIND ANYTHING WORTH HAVING FOR $150 UNLESS IT IS USED.

I use a Kodak that I got back in March for a trip to Puerto Rico. I don't remember the model, but It's 5mp and has an optical zoom about 4X I think.

It actually takes good pictures of the tank, and in Macro mode the close ups come out quite good.

I believe I paid $150 on sale at the time. Since you obvioulsly aren't a professional photographer I'm sure that you will find some acceptable cameras in your price range.

I had a Minolta before this camera that took awesome pictures too. Don't think I paid much more than 200-250 for that one either.

I think with some searching and waiting, you will find a decent camera in your range.
