I think it's time

this is my rock, I have a lot more of it, need some good live rock to seed it with. Who has the best along with live sand> I'm in NJ so of course somewhere near but if not it is what it is, got to pay to have it shipped anyway. Anybody in NJ have any they want to part with, doesn't have to be a lot.

I have never heard anyone report anything negative about Tampa Bay Saltwater's live rock or sand which is aquacultured in the Gulf. In fact, every review I've seen had been extremely positive. They also sell The Package which include rock, sand, and cleanup crew.

KP Aquatics has really nice aquacultured Caribbean/Florida Keys live rock. But, they do not sell live sand.

Gulf Live Rock is another source for aquacultured Gulf rock and sand that has gotten good reviews over the years.

If I were setting up a new tank, I'd likely got with some rock and sand from Tampa Bay Saltwater and add some KP Aquatics rock for diversity.

Thanks, all those places look good, but I don't need a lot like the Package, too much, for me right now and having some rock anyway, just want something to seed the tank with. I have ,ore rock in a bin, that I might use too. Pieces are either the same size or lsmaller, but all tpyes, even some branch

I have bought about 220 pounds of TBS rock. 80 pounds years ago and 140 pounds when I set up the 240. It is shipped wet and if you pick it up at the airport and get it into a tank all the cool stuff is alive and not lying dead in the box. Crabs, stars, shrimp, an urchin.
I raised the crabs and had them 4 years. One of my wife's favorite things I gave kept. They get big.

a molt. They got much bigger. One was especially friendly and liked to be fed.

In case I didn't make it clear, you don't have to buy The Package from TBS. They also sell rock and sand by the pound.

I think there is a minimun on it. I'll dee maybe I'll do it. What is their ive sand like?
In all my years in the hobby (started in the 1980s) I've never ordered live sand. That said, in all the years reading feedback about their sand (and rock) I've never heard a bad thing said about their sand.
