I know its a bit more than what you wanted to spend, but I think Alex is right. If you can, save up just a bit more and get a Canon Rebel XT. I can almost guarantee that once you start taking pics and have them turn out great, you too will get addicted and want to upgrade your cam...the rebel will alow for this and so much more !
