Can 6060 or 6080 be controlled with aquacontroller?

Im sure this has been asked before but i cant get the search to work!!

I have an aquacontroller jr and i was wondering if i can use this to turn my 6080 and 6060 streams on and off for wavemaking? seems like i have heard you cant do this and i cant figure out why? is it an issue of wearing them out?

what if i went with long on and off cycles, like 10-15 mins or something like that?

any advise is appreciated, i dont wanna buy new streams to control them but i guess i can if i have to!

thanks

I believe the answer is no, The soft start isnt really a usefull feature, and wont work for tunze's. I believe and roger will soon be here is atleast 1 hr off before restart.

Yes, since a prop pump only works in one direction a brake system is necessary to stop backwards rotation and it would be like driving with your foot on the brakes, they get shredded and the pump overheats and fails.

6060 and 6080 have brakes- 1hr

The new Nano Streams do not have brakes and they use a different method to correct the rotation so 15minutes is possible.
