Can a 1.5" ocellaris be female yet?

Is a 1.5" ocellaris old/large enough to be female?

I have a 1.5" tank-bred ocellaris that has been kept singly for the last 8 weeks. I'd like to pair it, but I'm unclear as to whether it would be better to go larger, or to get an even smaller juvenile. My concern is that, if my current clown is female because it's been kept singly for over 4 wks, and I introduce another female, we'll have a some cat fighting.

Would I be safe to add a 2-2.5" ocellaris, then, to try to pair, or should I add a smaller one to be totally safe?

You could do either..

Why wouldn't you go for the safer option and get a smaller one - remove the element of doubt.
