can a porcelain crab be detrimental to a stressed haddoni?

i attempted to move my haddoni anemone to a different place in my tank and it really stressed it out so i put it back in its original place but the mouth is gaping open now and the porcelain crab in my tank is hanging around the mouth and putting its claws inside the anemone - should i try and remove the crab?

How long have you had the Haddoni? Was it otherwise healthy prior to this?

If you have had it for a while, and it was healthy, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I recently moved, and my Haddoni was a bit stressed from being in a bucket for 5 hours and put into a moved tank. Its crab didn't bother it at all, even though it was stressed. 2 days later you couldn't tell that I moved.

fairly new. had it about 3 weeks. probably went against better judgement and moved it. i just hated where it had settled. now im really wishing i had left well enough alone.

Then I would keep a close eye on it, and remove the crab if needed.

Yeah, best to just leave it be, moving it will just stress it more then it already is.

Had a recent similar experience with my crab and an LTa (which now has a new home. I watched him an all mine was doing was removing small bits of what appeared to be waste.

I used to have a haddoni, I think it is a quiet hardy anemone as long as it is feed and sits in a nice area. I think it is best if it was just left alone, it would stress it further more if it was moved again. I don't think the crab can do any damage really, nature has a way of balancing things out on its own, even in a micro enviroment.

Good luck with it all and please let us know how it turns out

thanks for the replies. after sitting overnight in the spot it was originally in before i moved it the haddoni seems to be doing much better. It must have just hated where i had moved it to. now if i only i could talk my occelaris pair into hopping into it all would be well with the world :D
