can a purple lobster be added?

So out of all my fish here are the "lobster threats"

Lunar wrasse 5inches and a niger trigger 3.5inches.

These guys eat fiddler crabs before they hit the sand, but completely ignore all previosly added inverts and newly added ones of similar species. I had an emerald crab, added the fish, added more emerald crabs, they left em alone..smae with snails starfish, corals (yes my trigger ignores them too). Etc.....

In my marine molly mating tank I added a purple lobster. I couldn't resist his aggressiveness towards my fingers lol. I was wondering if when he is full grown he could survive the trigger and wrasse.

Anytime I add livestock I over feed the tank previous to adding them to lazy up my fish I suppose.

My plan is to add him just like my emerald crab.

I stick them in a shot glass with my hand covering it and stick it infront of a cave so it can hide, and I do it @ night.

I just would be bummed to see a 25 dollar meal that I didn't eat myself...specially lobsta

I put a crayfish in a tank with a black trigger and a Snooty wrasse. The cray didn't make it to a bottom of the tank... Not exactly the fish you have, but just my experiences.

I managed to get a tuxedo urchin in it tonight. Hoping when the big guys wake up they will think he's a rock

i havent bought the lobster yet. i have a niger trigger as well and he doesnt touch my hermits so im thinking he wont touch the larger lobster. but im not to sure about my coris wrasse

Does your wrasse sleep in a cave @ night?
That seems to be the best time to add risky critters. My urchin I added last night is fine. He's tiny too. I did it while everyone (except my green spotted puffer whom is the only bullied fish in the day time now turned nocturnal). I threw in a clam on a half shell and while he was distracted I put the urchin on the opposite end of the tank

Yeah youre probably right. out of curiousity, what kind of triggers were you feeding crayfish to?

Wrasses are funny fish.

That sucks about the lobster. Looks like he will have a special tank built around him.

I think its all in the color.
My mandarin and my scooter both are not aknowledged by any fish in the tank..they also look really crazy

the mandarin and scooter will be eaten by either the wrasse or trigger, or perhaps both...sorry...just not good fish to have with aggressive fish...

thats true but they are also tiny. i mean think about it, what would a fish rather go for, an 1/4 inch hermit crab or an 3-4 inch lobster. but to end my part in this thread, i have decided against it.

I decided to let my lobster live in a bucket of sand and chaeto inline with the tank. He gets all the food that goes down the drain and seems happy in his little pvc cave. He greets me when I stick my finger in there.
My dragonets are bite sized to the aggressive fish, but they are never near them. They can't see the scooter for sure...she is extremely camoflauged. The mandarin is bright, but its always in holes.

Don't worry, I am very observant of my fish and relocate them if needed. My tank has a 55g and a 2g fuge plus each tanks water is from my main so all my water is the same. Acclimating an injured fish/coral to other tanks is pie. However if trigger gulps something, I can't do too much.

Wwjd. Well he would throw in a shark and see what happens...or is that his dad? If church was later in the day id remember more
