Can RBTA do this. I know that I have read where aRBTA can sting a SPS . Reason I had my frogspawn plug tip over near the anemone . I think they had touched overnight . The frogspawn quit coming out and has tucked in for several days . Did a water change. But hasn't come out.

Thanks dkhulmann, I was afraid of that , everyone else is fine in the qt tank. He started out well also but as soon as I found him laying next to anemone, he started to shrink and not extend anymore. I still have hopes for him. I moved him away from the light and the flow,to see if he does anything different

Louis, Frogspawn like low light and low/medium flow. A gently sway. It could be too much light and flow that made it retract as well.

Yes , that is what I was thinking to see if it was light and the flow. So I have moved it to a corner so it gets less of both. Funny how my other frogspawn has come out more with more light and flow. So have my hammers. To give a background info: this is a bare 10galtank using it for QT . To many things are coming in with the corals and fish that I got tired of stamping out all the fires I created by short duration of QT. I always thought that I needed to get everything in my DT as quick as I could so it would survive. Quick meaning within two weeks. So I now am moving to 4 month QT. I am now learning the hard way is to purchase one type of organism in a large batch or variety and QT in own tank. I was mixing species and creating too many problems . Anemones , lps , SPS in one tank does not do well . They each have their own particular pests and problems. I was originally just trying to make sure that ich, velvet, brook, and 3 kinds of flukes did not enter my DT . Most of the LFS do not have adequate space to keep everything separate. They are all mixed around. It pains me to see aquacultured fish and corals mixed with wild corals and fish . But what can you do.

Actually with most any coral LPS or SPS you can dip them in Coral RX or similar to get rid of the bad hitchhikers and then rinse in dt water and put them in your dt. No need to qt them.

With the anemones there is a sticky in the anemone and clownfish forum written by Orion N that is a good read. Most dip nems in cipro to kill any infection that they normally have when you get them and they are in most cases bleached. Again read that sticky.
