can a tank do well without much biodiversity?

Im thinking about setting up a barebottom frag/quarantine tank that will be dosed with levamisole and possibly other chemicals that will harm worms, crabs and snails. Does anybody know if a tank can do well with very little biodiversity?

not as well as it does with the bio-diversity and not half the fun.

i get more enjoyment out of diversity of inverts than i do owning ifsh

This would be in addition to my display tank but not connected to. I have a montipora nudibranch problem, so I would like to dose levamisole without killing every worm, crab and whatever else is affected by it in my display. It would be a secondary tank for frags, QT and emergencies.

Don't put liverock in the QT tank, just PVC pipes and eggcrate. To keep the nitrogen cycle going, move a sponge from your display tank to the QT tank to keep bacteria in both tanks. Then rinse it out after going in the levasamole tank to get the medicine off, and then put it back into the display again to re-seed the sponge.

I don't think you can treat a display tank successfully with levasimole without killing EVERYTHING either way. Most people just dip as far as I've seen.
