Can a Trachyphillia touch palythoa polyps without stinging or being stung?

My trachy (Radiata) brain has grown so much and so have my 'rose nebula' palys, so that in about a day or two they're going to be touching. They're about a 1/2" away from each other now.
Does anyone have any experience with having both of these types of corals near each other in a reef tank?
I can frag back the palythoa but i just need to know if i need to, or is it a case where those two types don't typically bother each other.

They won't likely do physical battle but chemical warfare could be an issue over time. As long as they aren't touching you're probably safe but keep an eye on the brain. It'll probably be the first one to start showing signs of unhappiness.

If it was a grandis or protopaly I would most definitely say yes, because it happened to me. +1 on the Trachy losing the battle if anything.

They came real close to touching today. And there's simply no room to move the trachy because he's gotten so big, it's now hitting the front glass and into the rocks on the other side.
So it sounds like i need to frag back those crazy sparkly palys. They're overgrowing everything so i'm not afraid the colony will suffer for it. Theres a good hundred polyps or so. I would only need to cut back five or so.

Also, these same palys are growing on the lobophyllia. Is the lobo similar to the trachy as far as territorial/chemical warfare with palys?
