anyone please help with this one my sabea in great shape but i was told today at lfs that thay can course damage to soft corals first iv heard of it what about you?

Anemones can sting neighbors but their tentacles must directly contact those neighbors. Like any coral it shouldn't be able to come into contact with any other corals or other sessile invertebrates. They do not release stinging cells (nematoblasts aka cnidoblasts) into the water column.

The effects are due to direct contact - if the anemones die, they can fowl the tank but this isnt due to release of nematocyts
