Saw this in my tank last night after the lights went off and the moon lights were on. It's about 3/4 inch diameter and biege in color. 6 arms it appears?? Is it good/bad? What is it? Apologies the pic isn't so great. Thanks.

There is a thread that ids this starfish. I forget what it is called but will let you know when I find it. I do know that it won't get any bigger than that and won't live real long.

I noticed it several months back when it was only about 1/8th inch diameter. Hadn't seen it until last night and it has grown quite a bit.

they wont get much more than 1/2". they will also multiply in your tank.

i have an asterina, my friend has one, its almost a ninch now, and is turning orange on top!

he thinkis its from an old linkia that got eated, but i dont think som, cuz its got 3 big lesg, 3 small ones

I started off with 1 as a hitchhiker and now have atleast 6. They multiply rather fast. Some only have 3 legs(uneven) and some have up to 7...Never have hurt my corals.Definitely an asternia.

I've picked dozzens out of 75. I was once told that they had a tendancy to much corals.

After reading these comments, maybe I will start leaving them in a little more.
